Jesuit Boys Put 6 In The Top 10 At State Championships By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor The Jesuit boys ran to a dominating performance at the Louisiana state championship cross country meet on Tuesday, Nov. 16, scoring 22 points to win the Class 5A championship. Led by a 1-2 finish for sophomore Michael Vocke (15:26.8) and junior Jack DesRoche (15:27.9), the team split 32 seconds for its top six, all of whom finished in the top 10 overall. The St. Joseph's Academy girls won their sixth straight Class 5A title, fending off a challenge from Ruston to win by 11 points (55-66). Junior Lily Garrett from Ruston won the girls final, covering the 3-mile course at Walter P Ledet Track Complex in Natchitoches in 18:08.3. Defending champion Kelsey Major of Dominican was fourth.
